Lets work together!
My Approach
Hello, my name is Lindsay Ritscher and I specialize in children’s and middle grade publishing, editorial work, and illustrative brand design. With a dual background in art therapy and communications design, I bring a unique sensitivity and perspective to projects that explore mental health, social emotional learning and social justice. I am a perpetual learner and creative experimenter who falls in love with every project I work on!
Collaborative
I am a collaborative person by nature. I want to hear your ideas, use your feedback, and ensure that the final illustration brings your vision to life. I am communicative throughout the creative process, and looking to harness the creative energy that comes from the mutual joy of creating something new together.
Old & New
I love both traditional and digital mediums. Most of my work is completed in Procreate, a digital painting and drawing application. I also use traditional media as a starting point, either for inspiration or to combine with my digital illustration work for more exciting or unexpected textures and colors. My sketches are often completed with pencil and paper, and I will sometimes use collage or process paintings as inspiration in the sketching and ideation phases, and then refine and finalize work in Procreate.
I do not use AI in any part of my process.
